Financial Advisory: Frequently Asked Questions

What is CMA data?

CMA (Credit Monitoring Arrangement) data is a set of financial statements and projections in a standard format that banks use to assess working capital and term loan proposals. It covers past performance, projections, fund flow and key ratios.

What does a project report include?

A project report usually covers the business and its promoters, the project cost and how it will be financed, projected profit and loss, cash flows and balance sheets, repayment schedules and key ratios such as the debt service coverage ratio.

How long does it take to prepare a project report?

Usually a few working days once we have the information we need. The time depends on the size of the project and how quickly the details are available.

Will a project report guarantee that my loan is approved?

No. Loan approval is the lender's decision. A clear, well-prepared report helps the lender understand your proposal and assess it properly.

Can a Chartered Accountant value my business or shares?

It depends on the purpose and the law that applies. For some purposes a Chartered Accountant can issue the valuation, while others require a Registered Valuer or a merchant banker. We will tell you what is needed in your case.
