Documents for Project Report & Bank Loan (CMA Data): Checklist

Banks ask for a project report or CMA data with most business loan applications. Gathering these documents in advance makes the report faster to prepare and helps the bank assess your proposal.

About the business and promoters

PAN and Aadhaar of the business and of each promoter, partner or director
Brief profile of the business and each promoter's experience
Registration certificates: GST, Udyam (MSME), shop and establishment, factory licence, as applicable
Partnership deed or certificate of incorporation, MOA and AOA

Financial information (existing businesses)

Audited financial statements for the last two to three years
Income tax returns for the last two to three years
Provisional financial statements for the current year
Bank statements for the last 12 months
GST returns for the last 12 months
Statement of debtors, creditors and stock

About the project

Quotations for machinery, equipment, vehicles or other assets to be bought
Building estimate or rent agreement for the premises
Expected production or sales, selling prices and main costs
Number of employees planned and their salaries
Required licences and approvals for the project

Loan details

Loan amount required and purpose (term loan, working capital or both)
Promoters' own contribution and its source
Statements of existing loans and their repayment schedules
Details of property or security offered as collateral, if any
Government scheme being applied under, if any
